My daughter is 6 years old and in the 1st grade. She loves to read and I love having her read to me every night. It’s a great bedtime routine that helps strengthen her reading, but it also is a special bonding time for us. She loves any book that has to do with dogs, so we read a lot of non-fiction books. But for fiction she really likes Junie B. Jones right now. I volunteer at my daughter’s school library, so I also have insight into what the girls love to read.
