Released just in time for Halloween, Goosebumps 2 Haunted Halloween is a fun movie for kids to enjoy this holiday.  My 9 year old daughter enjoyed it more than me, but isn’t that the point with a kids movie? She gave the movie much higher ratings than I do, but based on the laughter from the other kids in the movie theatre, I think that her opinion is spot on for kids in the 6-11 range.  Somehow I feel that her 12-year old brother would have been less impressed.

Bottom line: This is a fun movie that is perfect to watch at home for Halloween fun.  Your kids won’t go to bed scared because this movie is not scary.  It’s just good, clean Halloween fun with lots of costumes, characters and a brief appearance by Jack Black and a slighter longer appearance from Ken Jeong.  Now how can you go wrong with those two in a movie?
