Squigz Suction Toys

By Kristen

Simply put, Squigz are the cutest little suckers you’ll ever find.  And literally, they are suckers.  As mini-suction cups, they can stick together to build all sorts of fun shapes.  Squigz are unique suction construction sets unlike any blocks you’ve seen before.

Squigz Toy

My 4-year old son received these as a gift for Christmas last year and I remember being intrigued by them immediately.  I had never seen them before, but knew that my son would enjoy playing with these, which says a lot because he won’t play with many toys.  What I wasn’t prepared for was how much my 6 year old daughter and 9 year-old son would enjoy them too.  They like the toy because they can build different shapes and it’s fun to stick the pieces together.  Squigz Toy

Squigz are a great toy for children with sensory issues.  My son is autistic and this toy appeals to his sensory needs.  He also mouths everything so the rubber material is especially appealing.  As a mother I like that I can stick these in a sink of hot water to clean and sanitize them.

For children who need to work on their fine motor skills, Squigz is the type of toy that helps improve these skills without the kids even knowing it.  I love it when a toy sneaks in an educational or therapeutic component without taking away from it’s enjoyment for kids.  So Squigz has been a fun toy for all 3 of my kids.  Easy to throw in a bag when you head out the door, I love how these little suction cups can keep the kids entertained wherever we are.
