Turkey Spinner Lawn Decoration

By Kristen

My kids love decorating for the holidays and that usually means that we have an inflatable decoration on our front lawn from October to December.  We didn’t have anything for Thanksgiving though and this year I wanted to get something to brighten up our yard and to celebrate the holiday.  I found this Turkey Spinner and thought it was the perfect lawn decoration for the whole family to enjoy.

Why We Like It:

Because it’s fun! The turkey spinner has a tail that spins around in the wind.  The decoration itself will also move around with the wind, so sometimes our turkey is facing one way and the next minute he could be facing the opposite direction.  Add the spinning tail to that and you get a cute looking Thanksgiving decoration.

Durability:  This lawn spinner has already been through some pretty big storms with us and it held up perfectly.  We have had banners and wind socks that have broken in a strong wind storm, but this turkey spinner handled it like a champ.  And when you have a strong wind it’s even more fun to watch this little guy in action.

Ease of Use:  This decoration was easy to put together and it won’t take up much space when we pack it away until next year.

No Power Required:  For Thanksgiving I was looking for a decoration that wouldn’t require any electricity.  We do an inflatable blowup for Halloween and Christmas and I thought that taking a break from that would be nice for Thanksgiving.  This spinner is literally powered by the wind!

For a holiday that tends to be more adult-focused than others, it’s fun to mix-in some decorations that the whole family can enjoy.  The turkey spinner is a welcome addition to our family and one that the kids have given their stamp of approval.
